  • All because I was in a cooking mood…

And found a video of how to make injera, the flatbread of Ethiopia. “Oh, sweet!” I thought, remembering the heaven on my tastebuds when I first had them in Kenya and again in restaurants in the States, and proceeded to try and teach myself the much-more-complicated-than-I-first-thought steps. When I got to the point of resolving to only eat injera in Ethiopian restaurants from now on, I started wondering who this intriguing and gutsy woman was, and how in the world she even knew let alone liked injera enough to post a video of the how-to’s on YouTube. And wouldn’t you know it, it’s because she has Ethiopian kids! And after 2 years of praying and waiting, as her church and community came together for this family to adopt orphans from Ethiopia~

And I’ve never seen an Ethiopian person I didn’t think was beautiful but these kids are just… wow. Just thought I’d share the video. What a cute family.
